4. Calculate the mass of the following (AS-1)
a) 0.5 mole of N, gas.
b) 0.5 mole of N atoms.
c) 3.011 x 1023 number of N atoms. d) 6.022 x 10 number of N, molecules.

4.

a) 1 mole of ANY atom or molecule= total molar mass

similarly, 1 mole of N2 = 14x2 = 28g (because it's gas N2)

0.5 mole of N2 is simply 28x0.5, which is 14g

b) as said above, 1 mole of atom = molar mass

1 mole of N atom (not N2, because it's gas) = 14g

0.5 mole is simply 0.5x 14= 7g

c) 1 mole have ALWAYS 6.022 x 10^23 atoms or molecules (remember, we aren't talking about molar mass)

if 6.022 x 10^23 mean 1 mole, then 3.011 x 10^23 mean 0.5 mole as it is the half of 6.022 x 10^23.

Remember from above, 0.5 mole is 7g

d) As said above, 1 mole have always 6.022 x 10^23 atoms OR molecules.

for N2, it's 28g (check above)
