a) )BaCl2 +H2SO4 → BaSO4 +2HCl

- Double displacement reaction.

  • A chemical reaction in which there is an exchange of ions between the reactants to give new substances is called double displacement reaction.

b) 3CuSO4+ 2Al→ Al2 (SO4)3 +3Cu.

- Displacement reaction.

  • A reaction in which a more active element displaces less active element from its compound present in dissolved statw is called Displacement reaction.

c) ZnCO3 →ZnO +CO.

  • - Decomposition Reaction
  • A chemical reaction in which single compound decomposes into two or more simpler substances (elements or compounds) is called a decomposition reaction.

d) C +O2→CO2

- combination reaction.

  • A chemical reaction in which two or more substances ( elements or compounds) combine to form a single substance is called combination reaction.
