Focal length,f = -12cm,

Object distance , u = -24cm = 2f = C

TO FIND :

position , size and nature of the image.

SOLUTION:

◆Object at C of a concave mirror gives real , inverted , image of same size in C .

◆Checking algebraically,

Mirror formula,

I/f = 1/u + 1/v

1/ -12 = 1/-24 + 1/v

v = -24 cm

◆Magnification ,m = -v/u = hi /ho

m = -24/-24 , hi =ho

Image size = object size.

ANSWER :

IMAGE AT C, IS REAL , INVERTED , AND OF SAME SIZE.
