(a) evaporation produce cooling .

this is true.

when water evaporate it take of the heat of surface [temperature low]

so it's give cooling .

(b)this is also true.

because if air already having water vapour in it

it can't have more water vapour do it effect or decrease the rate of evaporation.

(c)this is also true.

may it's compressible but have all properties of solid and in compressed form it's truly a solid

thanks.

hope it help you

Answer:

1) Evaporation produces a cooling affect because when a substance is about to evaporate it absorbs its latent heat from its surroundings giving out heat will appear to be cooled since the lost in heat. ... By absorbing energy away from the surrounding in the process of evaporation it resulted to cooling effect.

2) And evaporation is the vaporization of water into water vapour. So when the humidity is high there are already plenty of water molecules in the air so the water which gets vapourized into water vapour takes time to fill the gaps in the atmosphere and thus rate of evaporation is slow

3) The sponge is compressible being a solid because of the presence of air cavities inside it. The sponge has numerous pores in it which can be referred to as air cavities, in which air is trapped and on compressing it comes out of the sponge. These pores are the reason why sponge can easily soak liquid into it
