This reaction called PCR was first invented by Kary Mullis. Through this, many copies like billions and billions of DNA can be made by the process of replication.

There is a need of four components which are very much essential in PCR. These are -

1. The template of DNA.

This is taken as a template to be amplified.

2. Two Primers of nucleotide.

These are the oligo nucleotides that hybridizes the targeted region of DNA.

3. DNA Polymerase enzyme.

This enzyme is reponsible for synthesising new DNA.
