Answer:

4. Pollination is the transfer of pollen grains, from one plant to another of the same kind or the other, depending on its way of reproduction.

Pollination takes place through:

a) flower-to-flower of some kind {Sub part, self-pollination, cross-pollination}

b) flower (of one kind)-to-flower to another kind {Self pollination, cross-pollination}

Pollination takes place with the help of an agent, which are so-called pollinators.

An example of the work of an pollinator:

i)Insects: When an insect sits on a flower to suck its nectar then the grains gets attached to the insect's body who jumps onto another flower, transferring the pollen.

5. In plants, transport of water and minerals through xylem goes in upward direction; which takes place in one way. On the other hand, transport of food through phloem, occurs in both upward and downward direction, which takes place in another way.

Thus, it justifies that stem has a two-way transport mechanism.
