Answer:

a.Winnowing is the simple method of cleaning food materials from a mixture.Winnowing separate the grain from the husk because one particle is light and the other is heavy . Farmers thresh wheat or paddy to loosen the grain from the chaff . ... This is process is known as winnowing.Examples are paddy (rice) and wheat .

b.A mesh strainer, also known as sift, commonly known as sieve, is a device for separating wanted elements from unwanted material or for characterizing the particle size distribution of a sample, typically using a woven screen such as a mesh or net or metal. The word "sift" derives from "sieve".For example-separating fine gravel from coarse gravel. laboratory: using filter paper to separate a liquid and precipitate. school: separating the chalk from the chalk dust.

c.Sedimentation is the tendency for particles in suspension to settle out of the fluid in which they are entrained and come to rest against a barrier. This is due to their motion through the fluid in response to the forces acting on them: these forces can be due to gravity, centrifugal acceleration, or electromagnetism. For example-

and mud settling to the bottom of a pond, areexamples of sedimentation in action

d.Coagulation, also known as clotting, is the process by which blood changes from a liquid to a gel, forming a blood clot. It potentially results in hemostasis, the cessation of blood loss from a damaged vessel, followed by repair. For example

-Tissue repair the pain

e.Evaporation is a type of vaporization that occurs on the surface of a liquid as it changes into the gas phase. The surrounding gas must not be saturated with the evaporating substance. When the molecules of the liquid collide, they transfer energy to each other based on how they collide with each other.

f.Filtration is a process used to separate solids from liquids or gases using a filter medium that allows the fluid to pass through but not the solid. The term "filtration" applies whether the filter is mechanical, biological, or physical. The fluid that passes through the filter is called the filtrate.
