Aerobic respiration takes place in the mitochondria and requires oxygen and glucose, and produces carbon dioxide, water, and energy. (glucose + oxygen -> carbon dioxide + water).
Anaerobic respiration also produces energy and uses glucose, but it produces less energy and does not require oxygen.
