Answer:

x+2y=8. ------------@

2x + 3y=12 ---------©

By Elimination method

Multiplying equation @ by 2 and © by 1 we get

2x+4y=16

2x+3y=12

Subtracting both the equations

2x +4y -(2x+3y) = 16-12

2x+4y-2x-3y =4

y = 4

Puting the value of y in equation @

x+2y=8

x+2×4= 8

x+8 =8

x=8-8

x= 0

Answer:

x+2y=8

x= 8 -2y (1 equation)

2x+3y =12

2x=12-3y. (2 equation)

on comparing both equation

x+2y=8

2x+3y=12

-. -. -

__________

x +y=4

then 4 -y=x

put in eq 1

x+2y =8

4-y +2y =8

-y+2y =8-4

-y+2y=4

y=4

put y value in eq 1

x+2y=8

x=2×4=8

x=8-8

x =0
