When light passes through rectangular glass slab then while passing through rarer to denser medium it bends towards normal but when light comes out through slab then due to denser to rarer medium it bends away from medium and the emergent ray will be parallel to incident ray

Incident ray is the ray which enters through glass slab

Emergent ray is that ray which comes out through the glass slab after refracting through glass slab
