4) Factorise the following by using factor theorem
(1)x^2+5x-66​

Answer:

x=-11 x=6

putting x = 6 , f(x)=0

therefore, (x-6) is a factor of x^2 +5x-66

dividing f(x) by (x-6) we get the other factor as (x+11)

so, x = -11

so,

x=-11 and x =6
