1) Humidity or moisture in air responsible for corrosion
2) Reactive nature :
=◆More the reactivity of metal, the more will be the possibility of the metal getting corroded.
3) Temperature :
=◆A rise in temperature increases the rate of corrosion.

i. When iron comes in contact with moist air.
ii. Not handled properly.
iii. No paint or warnish applied to the iron object.
iv. If it's not cleaned regularly
