Given:-

  • area of parallelogram = 131cm²
  • height of parallelogram = 11cm

To Find:-

  • base of parallelogram

Solution :-

Area of parallelogram = base × height

131cm² = base × 11cm

base = 131/11 cm

base = 11.9cm

Therefore, base of parallelogram is 11.9cm.

Related information:-

• Inshort, when height and area is given, the base of parallelogram = area/height.

• Properties of parallelogram:-

  • Opposite sides are congruent.
  • If one angle is right angled then all the angles are right angled.
  • The diagonals of a parallelogram are not of equal length.
  • Opposite angles are equal.
  • The sum of all the angles of parallelogram is 360°.

Answer:

Given :-

  • Height of Parallelogram = 11 cm
  • Area of Parallelogram = 131 cm²

To Find :-

Base of Parallelogram

Solution :-

As we know that

 \huge\boxed{ \sf \: Base =  \dfrac{area}{height} }

 \sf \ratio \implies \: Base =  \dfrac{131}{11}

 \sf  \ratio\implies \: Base =  \dfrac{11.9}{1}

 \frak \pink{Base = 11.9\: cm}

Verification :-

Area = Base × Height

131 = 11 × 11.9

131 = 131
