Let the breadth of the rectangle be x cm.

We Know Perimeter = 2 (length + breadth)

Perimeter = 100 cm

Length of rectangle = 30 cm

Breadth of rectangle = x cm

100 cm = 2 (30 + x)

100 = 60 + 2x

60 + 2x = 100

2x = 100 - 60

2x = 40

x = 40/2

x = 20 cm

The breadth of the rectangle is 20 cm

We know Area of rectangle = length × breadth

Area of rectangle = 30 cm × 20 cm

Area of rectangle = 600 sq cm.

Answer the breadth of the rectangle is 20 cm and the area of rectangle is 600 square cm
