Given :- Find the HCF/GCD of 30 and 75 ?

Solution :-

checking prime factors of 30 and 75 first ,

→ 30 = 2 * 3 * 5

→ 75 = 3 * 5 * 5

since we know that, HCF is greatest number that divides all given numbers and as we can see that, only prime factor common in all three given numbers are 3 and 5 .

therefore, we can conclude that,

→ HCF = 3 * 5 = 15 (Ans.)

Hence, HCF of 30 and 75 is 15 .
