(ii) 8 × 53 × (- 125)
(iii) 15 × (-25) × (-4) × (-10)
(iv) (-41)× 102
(v) 625 × (-35) + (- 625) × 65
(vi) 7 ×(50-2)
(vii) (-17) × (-29)
(viii) (-57) × (-19) + 57

Solution:

a) 26 × (-48) + (-48) × (-36)

Using distributive property, we get

(a × b) + (b × c) = b × (a + c)

= (-48) × [26 + (-36)]

= (-48) × [26 - 36]

= (-48) × (-10)

= 480

b) 8 × 53 × (-125)

Using associative property, we get

(a × b) × c = a × (b × c)

= 8 × (53 × -(125))

= 8 × -6625

= -53000

Answer

Solution :

a) 26 × (-48) + (-48) × (-36)

Using distributive property, we get

(a × b) + (b × c) = b × (a + c)

= (-48) × [26 + (-36)]

= (-48) × [26 - 36]

= (-48) × (-10)

= 480

b) 8 × 53 × (-125)

Using associative property, we get

(a × b) × c = a × (b × c)

= 8 × (53 × -(125))

= 8 × -6625

= -53000

c) 15 × (-25) × ( -4) × (-10)

Using associative property, we get

= 15 × [(-25) × (-4) × (-10)]

= 15 × [(100) × (-10)]

= 15 × (-1000)

= -15000
