Question :Find the volume of water in a rectangular aquarium of length 20 centimet

breadth 15 centimetres and height 12 centimetres if it is half full.

Answer

  • length = 20cm
  • Breadth = 15cm
  • height = 12cm

If the tank is half filled then the:

  • length will be 1/2 of 20cm
  • breadth will be 1/2 of 15cm
  • height will be 1/2 of 12cm

New length , breadth and height will be

  • length = 10cm
  • breadth = 7.5cm
  • height = 6 cm

volume = l \times b \times h \\ v = 10 \times 7.5 \times 6 \\ v = 60 \times 7.5 \\ v = 450.0 {cm}^{3}

450 {cm}^{3} [/tex]
