15,16,17 Or, 16,17,18 are the correct answer.

EXPLANATION:-

Let the three consecutive numbers be ( x ) , ( x-1 )and ( x+1 ).

given that their sum is more than 45 and less than 54.

According to question:-

their \: sum \: is \: less \: than \: 54 :- \\ x + (x - 1) + (x + 1) < 54 \\ = > 3x - 1 + 1 < 54\\ = > 3x < 54 \\ = > x < 18

also,

their \:sum \: is \: more \: than \: 45 : - \\ x + (x - 1) + (x + 1) > 45 \\ = > 3x - 1 + 1 > 45 \\ = > 3x > 45 \\ = > x > 15

So,

15 < x < 18

Therefore, x = 16 Or, 17

Now,

if x = 16

then, x-1 = 15 and x+1 = 17

∴ The numbers are 15,16 and 17.

If x = 17

then, x-1 = 16 and x+1 = 18

∴The numbers are 16,17 and 18.

Hence,

The three consecutive whole numbers are either 15,16,17 Or, 16,17,18
