4. For a rightangled triangle, square of the hypotenuse (h) is equal to the
sum of squares of its other two sides (p,b).
Frame the formula for the above statement and find outh if p = 4 and
b = 3.
Also, make 'p' the subject of the formula and find p if h = 10 and
b = 8

Answer:

h^2 = p^2 + b^2

1.

Given..

Perpendicular = 4

Base = 3

Now,

let value of h be x

so....

x^2 = 4^2 +3^2

= 16 + 9

x = √25

hence, x = 5

2.

since h^2 = p^2 + b^2

so... we can also write

p^2 = h^2 - b^2

now,

Given,

hypotenous = 10

base = 8

now...

let value of p be x

so...

x^2 = 10^2 + 8^2

= 100 + 64

= 164

x = √164

hence, x = 2√41

Step-by-step explanation:

framed formula is,

H²=P²+B²

if p=4,b=3

then H²=4²+3²

H²=16+9

H=root over 25

therefore H=5

if h=10,b=8

then P²=H²-B²

P²=10²-8²

P²=100-16

P=root over 84

P=root over4×21

P=2 rootover 7
