a:- ot will make the cake bitter because of formation of NaCO3 which is basic in nature

b:- baking soda can be converted into baking powder by adding some mild edible acid such as tartaric acid

c:-when tartaric acid is added to baking soda it produces NaHCO3 instead of bitter NaCO3
