Answer:

Step-by-step explanation:

Given that,

AB = 3 and AC = 5

We find BC .

So, by using Pythagoras theorem

AC² = AB² + BC²

5² = 3² + BC²

25 = 9 + BC²

BC² = 25 - 9

BC² = 16

BC = √ 16

BC = 4

a) 4 sin x = 4 × (AB /AC) = 4 × 3/5 = 12/5 is the answer.

b) 6 tan x = 6 × ( AB / BC ) = 6 × 3/4 = 9/2 is the answer.

c ) 4 cos x - 15 sin y - tan x

= 4 ( BC / AC) - 15 ( BC / AC ) - ( AB / BC )

= 4 × 4/5 - 15 × 4/5 - 3/4

= 16/5 - 12 - 3/4

= ( 64 - 240 - 15 ) / 20

= ( 64 - 255 ) / 20

= - 191 / 20 is the answer.
