EVALUATION

From the given figure

 \displaystyle \sf{ \tan x =  \frac{BD}{AD}}

 \displaystyle \sf{ \sin( {90}^{ \circ}   - x) = \cos x =  \frac{AD}{AB} }

 \displaystyle \sf{ \cos x =  \frac{AD}{AB} }

 \displaystyle \sf{\cos( {90}^{ \circ}   - x) =  \sin x =  \frac{BD}{AB}}

 \displaystyle \sf{  \sin y =  \frac{AD}{AC}}

 \displaystyle \sf{\tan( {90}^{ \circ}   - x) =  \cot x =  \frac{AD}{BD}}
