4. Give reasons:
a. Salt and sugar when kept in the different jars take the shape of the jar yet they are called solids.
b. We can easily move a glass rod through water in a beaker. We cannot move the rod through a stone.
c. Gases exert pressure on the walls of the container

1)  because they are very tiny but there is still some space b/t the particles

2) because water atoms have very less force b/t them as compared to ston 's atoms

3) gas atoms  posses more kinetic energy and they continously hit the walls of a container
