i)On a humid day the air is full of water vapour. Hence, evaporation is very slow. This is the reason why wet clothes take longer time on ahumid day.

ii)Sunlight falls almost vertically on the equator, while it falls at slanting angle on the poles. Due to this, amount of insolation decreases from equator towards poles

I) the moisture and water vapour are present in the atmosphere and they get slightly absorbed by the clothes and hence the clothes maintain their wetness.

II) slanting rays come on earth covering longer distance, although these rays heat up more space, the degree of hotness is felt less.
