Explanation:

In plants, xylem and phloem are found as vascular tissues. Phloem is responsible for transportation of food materials. It consists of four type of components i.e. Sieve tube, companion cell, phloem parenchyma and phloem fiber.

Phloem parenchyma contains a defined nucleus and dense cytoplasm.

Sieve tube has a large vacuole and peripheral cytoplasm but lacks nucleus.

Companion cells are living parenchymal components of phloem.

Phloem fibres at the only dead component of phloem with thick walls.
