Solution:

=> 15 cot A = 8

=> cot A = \dfrac{8}{15}

• We know that cot Ø = \dfrac{B}{P}

Here..

• B (base) = 8

• P (perpendicular) = 15

• H (hypotenuse) = ?

» H² = P² + B

=> H² = (15)² + (8)²

=> H² = 225 + 64

=> H² = 289

=> H = √289

=> H = 17

=> \dfrac{15}{17}

• sec A = \dfrac{H}{B}
