Given,

x = m+3/m-4

and the value of x = 8

then what is the value of m?

Now substitute the value of x in the given equation.

x = m+3/m-4

8 = m+3/m-4

8(m-4) = m+3

8m-32 = m+3

8m-m = 3+32

7m = 35

m = 35/7

m = 5

Therefore the value of m is 5.

Proof:

x = m+3/m-4

8 = 5+3/5-4

8 = 8/1

8 = 8

L.H.S = R.H.S

Hence proved.
