During recent armed conflicts, explosive weapons have been used on a massive scale in populated areas, killing and injuring thousands of civilians in countries including Syria, Iraq, Yemen, and Afghanistan. Many of these people have been left injured or disabled with their lives and livelihoods completely ruined. It is our mission at Humanity & Inclusion to ensure that these innocent victims of conflict are not forgotten and to put an end to the indiscriminate bombing of towns and cities.
When explosive weapons are used in populated areas, a shocking 90% of casualties are civilians. These people are innocent victims of war - children, men and women who are going about their daily lives when these bombs strike. They end up traumatised, severely injured and many have to endure the loss of parents or loved ones. Here is just one account of the effects that these horrific weapons can have on the communities they hit.
In 2018, 32,110 civilians were killed or injured by explosive weapons and this shocking figure will only keep rising if we don’t put a stop to the bombing of civilians. At Humanity & Inclusion, we want to stop more innocent people being hurt, but we need your help to do so.

Common people are innocent victims of war- children, women and men who are going about their daily lives when these bombs strike. They end up traumatised , severely injured and many have to endure the loss of parents or loved ones.
In the narrator's case, his village has been severely bombed. Majority of the people are forced to evacuate their homes. Houses all over the village have been destroyed. Common student's education has been disturbed. People are unaware of what's to come. In this way the people and the narrator's village has been affected.
