4. If 18, a, (b - 3) are in AP, then find the value of 2 a - b.​

Answer: Given, 18, a, (b - 3) are in AP then common diff must be same

i.e. a-18=b-3-a

⇒2a-b=18-3

⇒2a-b=15

a-18= common difference
(b-3)-a= common difference
a-18=b-3-a
2a-15=b. (1)
Using (1) in 2a-b
2a-b =2a-(2a-15)
2a-b=15
