To find : value of 2x - 3

Given : 4x + 3 =15

Solution :

  • According to question we have to find the value of  2x - 3  when 4x + 3 =15  .
  • Therefore , firstly we find the value of x from 4x + 3 =15 using transposition method .
  • 4x + 3 =15

        4x = 15 -3 \\4x = 12 \\x = 3

  • Now , substituting the value of  x in the expression 2x - 3  to find its value .
  • 2x - 3

       = 2 ( 3 ) - 3 \\= 6 -3 \\=3

Hence , value of 2x - 3  is 3 .

Answer:

The value of 2x-3 is 3.

Step-by-step explanation:

Given : 4x+3=15

To find : The value of 2x-3.

Solution :

  • The given expression is,

         4x+3=15

  • We have to find the value of 2x-3.
  • First, we have to find the value of x.
  • The equation is,

        4x+3=15

  • Transpose 3 to other side, we get

           ∴ 4x=15-3

           ∴ 4x=12

  • Transpose 4 to other side, we get

           ∴ x=\frac{12}{4}

           ∴ x=3

  • ∴ The value of x is 3.
  • Now,

      2x-3=2*3-3

               = 6-3

               = 3

  • ∴ The value of 2x-3 is 3.
