B) transitive

a relation is called transitive if it contains elements as

R = { ( a,b), (b,c), (a,c)

and satisfy the condition in such a way that if

(a,b)€R and (b,c)€R then (a,c) must be present in the relation

in the question ~= {(1, 2), (1,3), (4,2)}

(1,3)€ ~, ( 4,2) € ~ and to become transitive, (1,2) much be there in the relation, and ~ do contain (1,2)

therefore, we can say that ~ is transitive.
