Answer:

we know that in equilateral triangle median and altitudes coincide.

hence length of median =√3/2×8

=4√3

total length of all median are=3×4√3=12√3.

Sum of three medians of the triangle is 20.76 cm

Given :

Each side of an equilateral triangle is 8 cm

To find:

Find sum of three medians of the triangle

Solution:

Given each side of triangle = 8 cm

In a equilateral triangle,

The median will be equals to the height/altitude of triangle

So, to find the sum of three medians of the triangle we need to find height/ altitude of triangle

As we know Height of equilateral triangle H = (√3/2)a

⇒ H = (√3/2)a = \frac{ \sqrt{3} }{2} (8) = 4√3 = 6.92

Sum of three medians of the triangle = 3(6.92) = 20.76 cm

Sum of three medians of the triangle is 20.76 cm
