Let AB=BC=CD=AD=a [ All sides of square are equal ]

⇒ AC=42cm [ Given ]

In right angled △ABC,

⇒ (AC)^2=(AB)^2+(BC)^2

[ By Pythagoras theorem ]

⇒ (42)^2=a^2+a^2

⇒ 1764=2a^2

⇒ a^2 =1764/2

=> a^2 = 882

⇒ Area of a square =a^2 = 882 cm^2 ANSWER
