4. If the lines 3x + (k – 1)y – 9 = 0 and 3x – 4y + 3k = 0 are coincident then find the value of k.​

  \frac{a1}{a2}   =  \frac{b1}{b2}  =  \frac{c1}{c2}

Therefore,

 \frac{3}{3 }  =  \frac{k - 1}{ - 4}  =  \frac{ - 9}{3k}

Hence,

1 =  \frac{k - 1}{ - 4}  \\  - 4 = k - 1 \\ k =  - 4 + 1 \\ k =  - 3

Hence, k = -3
