4. If the total cost of an apple and a mango is 36, a mango and an orange is
21 and an orange and an apple is $29, then the cost of each apple is

Let the total cost of an apple ,orange, mango be x,y,z respectively

In first case

apple+mango=36

x+z=36

z=36-x

In second case

mango + orange=21

z+y=21

z=21-y

So

36-x=21-y

x-y=15 eq no. 1

Now in third case

apple + orange=29

x+y=29 eq no. 2

Adding both the equations

2x=44

x=22

An apple cost 22$
