Let r be the radius of the cone.

 =  > volume =  \frac{1}{3}\pi \:  {r}^{2} h

 =  > 48 =  \frac{1}{3}  \times 3.14 \times  {r}^{2}  \times 9

 =  >  {r}^{2}  =  \frac{48 \times 3}{3.14 \times 9}  =  \frac{144}{28.26}  = 5.48

 =  > r = 2.34cm

Diameter = 2r = 4.68cm

Hence, diameter of the right circular cone is 4.68cm.
