Answer:

1) In right angle triangle. ABC by pythagoras theorem..

GIVEN AC= 5cm. and BC = 3cm...

FIND AB =?..

AC² = AB²+ BC².

5² = AB² + 3².

25 = AB² + 9.

AB² = 25 - 9

AB² = under root 16..

Then square root of 16 is 4...

So, AB = 4cm....

2) In right angle triangle. ABC By pythagoras theorem..

GIVEN. AB = 7cm and BC =5 cm..

FIND AC = ?

[ IN ABOVE ATTACHMENT... FIGURE WILL BE SAME FOR 2ND ANSWER ... JUST CHANGE. AB = 7cm. and BC = 5cm. And do ? for AC...] .

AC² = AB²+ BC².

AC² = 7² + 5².

AC² = 49 - 25. [Change the sign..from + to - ]

AC² = 24

AC² = under root..24

Then square root of 24..

AC = 12 cm....

Hope it helps you...
