Hey dear,
You're asking oxidation state of metal in salt.

● Answer- 2

● Explanation-
For the reaction,
Mili mole equivalent of sodium sulphite
= Volume × molarity
= 25 × 0.1
= 2.5 milimole

Mili mole equivalent of given salt
= Volume × molarity
= 50 × 0.1
= 5 milimole

Oxidation state of suplur in sodium sulphite = 2

By law of equivalence,
2.5 × 2 = 5 × (3-n)
3-n = 1
n = 2

Therefore, Oxidation state of metal in salt is 2.

Hope this is useful...
