Rutherford expected that all the alpha particles would be deflected by

Answer:Because he wanted to explain that nucleus had free space through which electrons can pass through easily so he expected that the alpha particles should get Deflected by small angles as the nucleus possess free pass and Therfore no hindrance will be there........
