(i) z + 45 = 180

z = 135

(ii) x = 40 (Vertically Opposite Angles)

y = z (Vertically Opposite Angles)

40 + y = 180 (Linear Pair)

y = z = 140

(iii) x + 55 + 90 = 180 (Angles on a straight line)

x = 180 - 145

x = 35

(iv) 47 + 90 = y (Vertically Opposite Angles)

137 = y

x = z (Vertically Opposite Angles)

47 + 90 + z = 180 (Angles on a Straight line)

180 - 137 = z = x

43 = x = z

(v) x + 40 + x - 10 = 180

2x + 30 = 180

2x = 150

x = 75

Now, x + 40 = z (Vertically Opposite Angles)

= 75 + 40 = z

= 115 = z

Now, x - 10 = y (Vertically Opposite Angles)

= 75 - 10 = y

= 65 = y

(vi) 60 = x + x (Vertically Opposite Angles)

60 = 2x

x = 30

Similarly, z = 2y (1)

Now, 60 + z = 180

z = 120

z = 2y (From 1)

120 = 2y

y = 60
