In ∆ABC,

DE// BC

By using BPT theorem,

AD/BD =AE / EC

3/5=AE / EC

.: The ratio of AE:EC is same as ratio of AD:BD

Bcoz side AE or EC is not mentioned .

So ratios are equal to each other.
