4. It is said that in school there’s a lot of pressure to fit in. Is that true here? What do you have to do to fit in here? Does fitting in ever make it hard to be yourself?

Answer:

Yes indeed. There is a lot of pressure among the students to fit in with their peers, to look and act as cool as them, to wear clothes from the same brands as other people do and what not. To fit in, children start behaving in a way or start portraying themselves as desirable to other people's eyes and start losing the sense of their own identity. Some kids wanna match themselves up to the level of the "rich kids" and start demanding expensive things from their parents to please their friends, some start showing attitudes and behaviours that completely contrast their own. yes, trying to fit in with the crowd is like trying to fit in the wrong size of clothes, you might try really hard to change yourself according to the clothes whereas the clothes are supposed to fit according to you. Hanging out with a crowd of people where you don't have to pretend to be anyone is the best. No amount of popularity or so-called friends is worth losing yourself. Fitting in is not only hard on the kid, but also on the parents.
