Given Equation is : (2/3)x^3 + (4/5)x^2 - (7/5).

Given x = - 1.

Substitute x = -1 in f(x), we get

⇒ (2/3)(-1)^3 + (4/5)(-1)^2 - (7/5)

⇒ (-2/3) + (4/5) - (7/5)

⇒ (4/5) - (2/3) - (7/5)

⇒ (-3/5) - (2/3)

⇒ (-9/15) - (10/15)

⇒ (-9 - 10)/15

⇒ (-19)/15

Hope it helps!

Given a polynomial having ' x ' as its variable.

p( x ) = 2 / 3 x^3 + 4 / 5 x^2 - 7 / 5

Given , value of ' x ' = - 1

put value of ' x ' in given polynomial , we get

p (-1 )=2 / 3 ( -1 )^3 + 4 / 5 ( - 1) ^2 - 7 / 5

= - 2 / 3 + 4 / 5 - 7 / 5

= - ( 2 / 3 - 4 / 5 + 7 / 5 )

= - ( 10 - 12 + 21) / 15

= - ( 19 / 15 )

= - 19 / 15
