4 kg of rice costing rs. 6 per kg is mixed with 8 kg of rice costing rs. 12 per kg. find the cost of the mixture in rs. per kg.

Cost of 4 kg rice is 6*4=Rs 24/-

Cost of 8kg rice is 8*12=Rs 96/-

Cost of 12kgs rice (8+4) is 24+96= Rs 120/-

Therefore the cost of the mixture is 120/12=Rs 10/kg
