To find : the temperature of the mixture will lie between __ to 80°C

solution : we know that the heat flows from higher temperature to lower temperature.

so, heat lost by water at 80°C = heat gained by water at 10°C

let the temperature of the mixture is T.

⇒ m₁s(80 - T) = m₂s(T - 10)

here, m₁ = m₂ = 4 kg

⇒ 80 - T = T - 10

⇒ T = \frac{80+10}{2} = 45°C

therefore the temperature of the mixture lies between 10°C to 80°C and that is 45°C.
