However, the world is still fighting for it, a little has been achieved and major part of it is yet to be achieved.

However, as the aphorism goes, ‘pen is mightier than the sword’, this movement is best reflected in writings, especially drama. Starting from Girish Karnad to Mahesh Dattani, all dramatist try to sketch the position of women in modern world with a subtle touch of irony.
