Step-by-step explanation:

case-1

let 7x and 1x be the milk and water in 4 liters of mixture of milk and water.

7x+x=4000ml

8x=4000ml

x = 4000ml÷8

x=500ml

therefore, milk =7x=7×500ml

=3500ml

water=x=500ml

case-2

let 9x and 7x are the milk and water in a 6 litres of a mixture of milk and water

9x+7x=6000ml

16x= 6000ml

x=6000ml÷16

x=375ml

therefore, milk =9x=9×375=3375ml

water=7x=7×375=2625ml

total milk = 3500+3375

=6875ml

total water=500+2625

=3125ml

ratio of mil and water in resultant mixture =6875:3125

=53:25
