Many people seem to have solved it correctly. The answer is 8/38/3 days, which translates to 2 days and 16 hours.
The way I usually solve these questions, is by quantizing the amount of work to be done in units.
Let a man be able to do xx units of work per day.
Let a women be able to yy units of work per day.
33 men are given to be as efficient as 44 women. (Which I find a bit sexist, by the way. In fact every question I've ever encountered in this category always claims the male to be more productive.) Hence, 3x=4y
The total amount of work = 16∗3x= 48x
The amount of work done per day when 1212 men and 88 women work together = 12x+8y = 12x+8(3x/4)= 12x+6x =18x
Total time taken by the workforce = TotalamountofworkRateatwhichworkisbeingdoneperdayTotalamountofworkRateatwhichworkisbeingdoneperday = 48x18x = 8383 days, which translates to 2day and 16hours......

So by this work rate of 4 men = 1/16 -> 1 man= 1/64,
similarly 6 women=1/16 -> 1 woman=1/96
Now we need to find time take by two men and 9 women that can be given as below:
work rate of 2 men and 9 women = (2/64)+(9/96) = (1/32)+(3/32)=4/32=1/8
So, 2 men and 9 women takes 8 days to complete the work.
