The number of days taken by 6 men and 1 woman to complete twice the job is 10 days.

Given:

4 men and 4 women can build a room in 5 days.

7 men and 2 women will take 4 days to complete the same piece of work.

To Find:

The number of days taken by 6 men and 1 woman to complete twice the job.

Solution:

We are required to find the number of days taken by 6 men and 1 woman to complete twice the job.

Let 'm' be the men and 'w' be the women

(4m+4w)×5 = (7m+2w)×4

20m+20w = 28m+8w

8m = 12w

2m = 3w

m/w = 3/2

m:w = 3:2

Total work = 20×3+20×2

Total work = 60+40

Total work = 100

For 6 men and 1 woman = 6m+1w

= 6×3+2

= 18+2

= 20

Time taken by 6 men and 1 woman to complete twice the job = 2×Totalwork/20 --------(1)

Substitute the value of total work in equation(1) we get

Time taken = 2×100/20

Time taken = 200/20

Time taken = 10 days

Therefore, The number of days taken by 6 men and 1 woman to complete twice the job is 10 days.
