4 men and 6 women finish a job in 8 days similary 3 men and 7 women finish the same job in 10 days. If there are 10 women how many men are required to finish the job and in how many days?

From given Data :
Let men can do work in = A days
and women can do work in =B days
Therefore
4/A+6/B = 1/8 ..................(i) and
3/A+7/B =1/10 ................(ii)
To eliminate A :- multiply equation (i) by 3 and equation (ii) by 4 and subtract
(ie) (12/A+18/B) -(12/A+28/B) = (3/8 -4/10)
(ie) -10/B= (15/40 -16/40)
= -1/40
1/B =1/400 days
B =400
One women can do work =400days
Then 10 women can finish work =400/10 =40 days
Let men can do work in = A days
and women can do work in =B days
